hi everyone! it's the total slacker pauline blogging! woot. nette asked me to update, and cos i feel like it, TADAA! haha.
anyway, how's the eoys? i think i'm the only one in the whole school who didn't/doesn't study and doesn't care a bit about the exams and the marks. lol. i can imagine people studying until their brain explodes while i watch episodes of Bleach on my comp. actually there are a few reasons why i don't study.

i really don't care about the exams and the marks. really.
even if i study, i can't remember anything. maybe cos i'm sick lah.

yah. there. two reasons. as for no. 2, my memory's been crappy these days. during the weekend, i couldn't even remember anyone's faces. yes. that bad. almost forgot a few names here and there too. must be cos i'm sick. >_< now it's not so bad, but i still can't remember anyone's faces until i go to school and actually meet people. oh well.

sori for not posting so long... my comp couldn't go blogger for some weird reason. >_<
anyway, STUDY FOR LIT EVERYONE! even though i dun feel like studying and dun plan to. lol. feel so lazy and slack lah. it's 9 and i feel like sleeping already. that's 7 hours from my (ab)normal sleeping time of 4am. seven hours... sigh.
note: eating cup noodles half an hour before dinner is NOT a good thing to do. even though i still finished my dinner, i highly do NOT recommend this.
so, STUDY everyone while i sit back and watch Bleach on my comp. and princess mononoke (borrowed from zhiyu)

i said i will post about crap -censored meeting-, so i will. haha. (still overuse of hahas)
aniwae, i think -censored meeting- was a total flop. it wasn't even helping to solve all the "problems" the school had. and if i went up to that mike and started complaining, the teachers would just hammer me with all they've got. so i didn't go up. (i actually don't wanna die so fast, you know. haha.)
why have core and merit ccas? i just don't get it. just because the merit ccas don't get awards or anything doesn't mean that they're not so important. just because some ccas happen to join a lot of competitions doesn't mean they're all great and are better than other ccas. c&m is just to ensure that all -censored school- girls join either:
1. a cca that gets trophies, awards, money and so on OR
2. an uniform group (for the award, you see)
and performing arts too, just to get the syf prizes.
(note: c&m will reappear later. just be patient.)

what kind of school is this?
so materialistic.
they teach us about "appearance and reality".
that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
that we shouldn't only look at what's outside.
and then they just want the awards.
just what are they teaching us? (kou3 shi4 xin1 fei1)

they say that getting the award is for the students.
for the students? as in how? like, how is the SAA or whatever award going to affect our daily lives?
i personally won't go up to my mom and go, "hi mom! you know what? i got an SAA award! YEAH MAN!" for those who read this and go "OF COURSE I DO THAT! I DO THAT EVERYTIME I PASS MY SPELLING!!!" then go away freak. unless you're the type that keeps on failing ting1 xie3 like me. then high five.

any award the school gets is just to keep up appearances and to get money (if it's given). it's not like every single -censored school- student gets an individual plaque with their name and the words "SAA Award Winner of 2005" engraved on it. where does the prize money go? (if there's any) the school, duh! and where is it used? new gym equipment that only the sports cca students have access to! yet emphasising on sports. and the award? the school's just trying to show off.
as in "YEAH WE GOT THE SAA AWARD NOW COME TO OUR ALL-ROUNDED SCHOOL ALREADY."
why must our school be so great in everything anyway? not contented is it? what makes -censored school- a top school in the first place? the STUDENTS. not the TEACHERS, mind you.
let me say (type?) that again. the STUDENTS are what makes this school a top school.
not the TEACHERS.
why did we come to -censored school- in the first place?
cos we thought it was a great school.
and that being independant, it would be more interesting?
and that having so many ccas was nice?

so i went for dsa.
and i actually got in.
i remember sitting at the table with -censored principal name- and -censored principal name- (i think.)
conversation went like this:

me thinking: what the...

and so on... >_<"""" it was so lame. and i actually got in! like "what the? this school has such low standards that i actually got in?" ... so i got in with a score of 258. (yes, yes, whatever.) and then i found out that the school wasn't as nice as other people made it out to be. first day coming to school? i hear swear words coming everywhere. i walk here, hear swear word. i walk there, hear swear word. etc.... and that was only on the FIRST DAY. as in on the 22nd dec (hope it's correct date). then, peanut/tryphe/tryphena/piffy/mrs.lim still hadn't been put into 111. she was in 110. leaving me and zhiyu sitting together, looking at the whole group of shps people sitting in 110 and going "WHY ARE THERE SO MANY SHPS PPL IN 110? MORE THAN HALF LEH!" and then poor sarahchong was left in 113 all by herself - sarahchua was supposed to be in 113 but she's in taiwan. like WEIRD. they should at least spread out the people properly. as in proportionate. not dumping a whole lot of people in one class. ... and then we get such "GREAT" and "STRAIGHT" teachers. like -censored gay teacher- (nothing to be said about this PURPLE and PINK teacher. with thick black specs that look a few decades old. at least they weren't the big kind.) and -censored maths teacher-. no offence sufen, but i really think her lessons are lousy. and her dress sense is NONEXISTENT. she's really weird too, like when she gets angry for no reason and starts giving out all the worksheets. then she says "since you're so good and don't listen to my maths lesson, do the worksheets yourself!" and storms out of the class. i actually liked maths last time, but now i don't. because of mrs sia's "GREAT" teaching. and the list goes on..... ... and then, we find out that our "INDEPENDANT" school is not so "INDEPENDANT" after all. like now, where the canteen can't sell COOKIES.
COOKIES.
what have we done to deserve this cookie shortage?
what must we do just to get a decent COOKIE?
just because it's "unhealthy" doesn't mean that they should totally get rid of it.
they could even just sell it on weds.
now, why do they stop cookies from being sold?
it's because of a freaking AWARD.
it isn't that from eating cookies, we would get food poisoning and die. or anything like that for the matter.
it's because of the AWARD.
what comes to mind?

and now back to the core and merit. why have core and merit?
and why only subsidise the core ccas and not the merit? (fencing is a clear example)
because of the core and merit system, some people didn't get in to the cca that they wanted.
for example, i wanted to get into robotics.
but CORE AND MERIT comes along.
and my mom says "go join an uniform group!" and i put gb as my first choice.
and i get in.
but for robotics?
nah.
why?
cos it's MERIT.
and for the people in ncc? and red cross?
do you honestly think that anyone would willingly put ncc as their first choice?
most likely they put it as one of their last choices. (only 4 ugs, what can they put?) and they were "lucky".
now, why are they in ncc?
cos they were forced to put one uniform group choice, and they put ncc.
so they were dragged in.
what's the use of dragging unwilling people into ccas that they don't want?
i thought ccas were to develop hobbies, have fun, make friends, even to relax from the craziness of school.
if the cca not only does not help, but even makes life worse for you, what's the point?
we won't even need the "LEAPS points" as we're in IP.
so this is stupid.
just want to get SAA or whatever award for dunnohowmany percent in ug.

why can't our school just relax for a while?
why worry when we fail just one test?
it's not the end of the world.
e.g. if you scored 1/2 a mark lower than *insert name here*, but you scored better than half of the class.
that kind of scenario.
and just because i anyhow guessed an answer in the bio test and was lucky doesn't mean that you people are dumb or anything.
it just means i was super lucky.

There was this general who, following the orders from the king, led an army to battle. Unfortunately, he fell from his horse and got captured by the enemy, which then threw him in jail. The faithful general did not give up and tried to kick the jail bars down. Worried that the general might kick the cheapskate bars down, one of the prison guards chopped off both the general's legs. (That's gonna hurt.) The general still didn't give up and tried to pick the lock with his hands. The same prison guard then got really annoyed and chopped off his arms as well. Then, the general gave up. Why? (highlight for answer) He was unarmed and defeated! haha.

ora was nice! da strings stall was called jubble! as in jelly and bubble tea. saw my nice angel and omi but strangely no other ex- tns ppl. bet they ponned ora or actually went for the walkathon/jogathon(*gasps* there are really such ppl out there?). i like the fondue(rainbow sprinkles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but it kept dripping everywhere. then since we were so wu liao rachel and i went to go and sell jelly to unsuspecting ppl. yay. haha. turns out that parents are very very easy to sell to. pauline should noe. in total she must have bought like 5 packets. shanin kept on shoving a coconut in my face("BUY COCONUTS!"). btw, all gb ppl, I DUN LIKE COCONUTS THOUGH I NOE ALL OF U LIKE JELLY AND BUBBLE TEA.
then later i had to go for violin lesson. i can't go to london liao becos i have to learn with some other teacher during the holidays. and that will mean i'll have to practice like hell the whole of june. sigh. unfairness.-_-

yesterday went to see this violinist play at the esplanade. he's supposed to be very very very good. he played 2 encores. then i got to go ichiban sushi for dinner!!!! had a tempura and chawanmushi set.yay! bento sets are nice.
saw yian in the concert hall but didn't see any other stringers. anw, guess who else i saw sitting 1 row in front ...(hint:*looks over spectacles suspiciously*) *gasps*. AHHHHHH...
so i suddenly became very interested in the programme. mebbe a bit too interested, becos my mum said that i looked very suspicious. oh well, i dun tink she spotted me but during intermission i got up and i was really scared she was gonna prod me in the back or something.

Fish sashimi is nice! especially salmon sashimi ( the ones at sakae sushi with two slices on the rice that happens to be sushi rice )! with loads and heaps of wasabi! Yay. yummy! getting hungry just thinking of it.
yah. its soooooo nice! better than some cuttlefish one.
once i ate 5 plates of the salmon thingy in a row! YUMMY. >_<
AHEM. LIKE, CUTTLEFISH SASHIMI SO OBVIOUSLY ROX MOST. AND @ SAKAE SUSHI THEY SERVE IT ON RICE TOO. WITH WASABI AND SOYA SAUCE.
though i agree abt the wasabi. wasabi good. wasabi nice. wasabi is great too.
